Skin and hair changes are frequently treated as vanity concerns. They are not. Visible change affects work, relationships, sleep, and mood, and some changes are the first sign of something that needs care.

Before the appointment

  • Write your top three concerns in order, with dates
  • Bring photographs in consistent lighting, including close and full views
  • List everything you have already tried and what happened
  • Bring your medication and supplement list
  • Write one sentence about how this is affecting your daily life

Language that keeps the conversation open

  • "This is affecting my daily functioning, and I would like it documented."
  • "What is your thinking behind that?"
  • "If this does not improve, what is the next step and when should I come back?"
  • "Have you treated this in skin like mine before?"
